 Awo is currently entering her final year studying a BSc in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience, with a particular interest in neurodegenerative conditions such as dementia. Her academic focus is driven by a desire to understand how these conditions impact individuals' lives and to contribute to research in the field.

She first gained exposure to the care sector while working as a temporary administrative assistant in Luton, where she developed an interest in the intersection between healthcare and support services. This experience led her to join Caring Lane, where she has worked as an administrator for the past eight months and, more recently, taken on an active role as a carer for the last four months.

For Awo, Caring Lane provides the ideal environment to align her academic interests with hands-on experience. She values the opportunity to witness the real-life impact of her work and appreciates the active, people-focused nature of the role. Awo especially enjoys working closely with other carers in what she describes as a genuinely collaborative and supportive team.
