The vision of Caring Lane Ltd. is to provide practical, support, and personal care services to vulnerable dependent community people who reside in their own homes. In particular, the elderly and disabled, people with learning disabilities, people with sensory loss, including dual sensory impairment, people with mental health issues, children and their families, personal or family carers, the terminally ill, people with challenging behaviour, including children and others are the main beneficiaries of the services we offer. These services are provided to people of all ages and illnesses, regardless of ethnicity, religion, culture, or colour.
Our commitment to meeting the needs of our service users includes encouraging their involvement in their care, producing information about our services and complaint procedures in plain English and other languages, and providing stakeholders with this information in the formats they need (large print, Braille, or audio tapes) so they can make informed decisions.
Our trained and supported care workers perform all of our services non-discriminately, and neither the service user nor the care worker would get preferential treatment over the others.
However, Caring Lane Ltd. as a company has the right to terminate services for anybody who does not comply with the company's diversity and equal opportunity policy.
1. To empower the people who use our service to make informed choices, take reasonable risks and maintain social contacts to enable them to live a fulfilled life in their own home and community treated with respect for their dignity and privacy.
2. To provide the best possible quality care within the constraints available, ensuring the health and wellbeing of the people using our services is promoted and maintained.
3. We will work in partnership with support services and relatives to ensure that the best interests of the people using our services are met.
4. To ensure that the people who use our services are kept safe we will ensure that staff are subject to a robust recruitment process and that the appropriate checks and references are completed.
5. To ensure that the people who use our service are supported and cared for by appropriately qualified and competent staff we will invest in staff training and personal development. We will provide a robust induction programme that follows the Care Certificate and provide on-going supervision and appraisals to demonstrate staff competency.
6. To encourage improvement in the service a robust concerns, comments and complaints procedure is in place to ensure that all comments, concerns and complaints are received, listened to and acted upon. Information will be in accessible formats.
7. We will ensure that the people who use our services are listened to through our quality assurance systems and user friendly complaints procedure in order to inform the planning, development and improvement of our service.
8. To ensure that people who use our services equality, diversity and human rights are actively promoted, we will ensure that policies and procedures are in place and their implementation is monitored and reviewed.
9. To ensure that the care provided is of the highest quality and meets legislative regulations, robust quality assurance procedures and systems will be used to monitor the outcomes for people using our service and enable us to develop our services to provide outstanding outcomes for those that use our services.
