Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@caringlane.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

You may notice small changes first like missed meals, forgotten medication, difficulty washing or dressing, more falls, loneliness, or everyday tasks becoming harder. It doesn’t always mean they need care straight away, but if you’re starting to worry, it may be time to talk about what extra support could make life at home easier.

In many cases, yes. With the right support, your loved one may be able to stay in the home they know and feel comfortable in. Some people only need a few visits, while others may need more regular or live-in care. It depends on their needs, safety and what they want.

Yes. We support people living with dementia to stay safe and comfortable in their own homes. Care can include help with daily routines, personal care, meals, medication and companionship, while taking the time to understand the person, their preferences and what feels familiar to them.

We will talk with you and your loved one about what life is like at home, what they’re managing well and where they may need a little help. It’s a chance for us to understand their needs, answer your questions and talk through the support that may be right for them. There’s no obligation to go ahead with care.

Live-in care means having a carer stay in your loved one’s home to provide ongoing support with everyday life. It can be a good option for someone who needs more regular help but wants to remain in the comfort of their own home. Caring Lane provides live-in care across the UK.

Yes. Where it is part of the agreed care plan, our carers can support your loved one with their medication, including reminders and appropriate assistance. We will discuss their medication needs during the care assessment so the right support can be put in place.

Yes. Everyone is different, so their care should be too. We create a personalised care plan around your loved one’s needs, routines, preferences and the things that matter to them. The plan can also be reviewed as their needs change.

Our visiting home care services cover South East London and surrounding areas. We also provide live-in care across the UK. If you’re unsure whether we can support someone in your area, get in touch and our team will be happy to check for you.

Yes. Caring Lane is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England. This means our care is regulated and inspected against CQC standards.

Care needs can change over time, and that’s completely normal. We can review your loved one’s care plan and adjust the support they receive so it continues to reflect what they need and what works best for them.

Absolutely. We believe it’s important for you to feel comfortable with your carer. We strive to match you with a carer whose personality, skills, and approach align with your preferences. If for any reason you wish to make a change, we are happy to accommodate your requests.

At Caring Lane, all our carers are highly trained, experienced, and fully vetted. We conduct regular assessments to ensure that the care you receive meets the highest standards. Your feedback is important to us, and we’re committed to adjusting the care plan as needed to maintain your satisfaction and well-being.

The cost of home care varies depending on the level of support you require, the number of hours of care, and any specific needs related to your health condition. We offer a range of flexible pricing options and will provide a clear breakdown of costs during your consultation to help you make an informed decision.
